The SEASTAR project recently showcased its innovations at The Ocean Energy Europe Conference & Exhibition (OEE2024), Europe’s leading ocean energy conference, held in Aviemore, Scotland from 5-6 November. Highlights included Nova’s presentation on scaling up tidal farm deployments and the visit of the Scottish Minister for Climate Action to the SEASTAR stand. A decommissioned blade from the Nova 30 project, previously exhibited at the National Museum of Scotland, drew particular interest from the attendees. SEASTAR has successfully secured a 15-year contract as part of the Allocation Round 6 (AR6) of the UK Government’s Contracts for Difference (CfD) auction, ensuring a guaranteed price for the electricity it generates.
