SEASTAR Showcases Innovation and Vision at OEE2024
The SEASTAR project recently showcased its innovations at The Ocean Energy Europe Conference & Exhibition (OEE2024), Europe’s leading ocean energy conference, held in Aviemore, Scotland from 5-6 November. Highlights included Nova’s presentation on scaling up tidal farm deployments and the visit of the Scottish Minister for Climate Action to the SEASTAR stand. A decommissioned blade from the Nova 30 project, previously exhibited at the National Museum of Scotland, drew particular interest from the attendees. Nova consortium wins €20 million of EU funding to install 16 turbine SEASTAR project in Orkney
Nova Innovation has won EU funding for a 4 MW tidal energy farm that will be home to the largest number of tidal turbines anywhere in the world. Nova will lead a pan-European consortium that will kick-start mass manufacturing of tidal turbines in the tidal industry at Nova’s headquarters in Edinburgh.
